Join Our Team as an Intern and Help Organize the Annual Social Media Conference Suriname!

 

 

Are you passionate about social media, event organization, and eager to gain practical experience? Look no further! We are excited to announce paid internship opportunities for enthusiastic individuals to join our team and be a part of the incredible Annual Social Media Conference Suriname. This internship will provide you with valuable hands-on experience and a chance to make a real impact in the industry.

 

  • Internship Period: September, October and November
  • Weekly Commitment: 25 hours per week (minimum of 5 hours per day)
  • Type of Internship: Paid
  • Work Environment: 2x office days (may vary) & 3x work from home

 

As an intern, you will have the unique opportunity to choose which team you would like to contribute to. Here are the available teams and a brief overview of their tasks:

 

Online Promo Team

  • Managing social media platforms
  • Brainstorming about engaging content and graphics
  • Assisting in online marketing campaigns

Offline Promo Team:

  • Assisting in the development of offline promotional materials
  • Coordinating advertising efforts in the local community
  • Assisting in organizing offline marketing events like the Social Media Radio


Speakers Team:

  • Assisting in speaker selection and communication
  • Coordinating speaker logistics and requirements
  • Supporting speaker presentations and rehearsals

Volunteers Coordinator:

  • Recruitment and management of event volunteers
  • Organizing training sessions and briefings for volunteers
  • Putting together a volunteer shift overview for during the conference
  • Ensuring smooth operations during the conference with the volunteer team

Sponsors Team:

  • Identifying and approaching potential sponsors
  • Assisting in sponsor relationship management
  • Coordinating sponsor benefits and deliverables

Participants Team:

  • Handling participant registrations and inquiries
  • Assisting with participant communication and updates
  • Managing participant databases and records

Networking Party Team:

  • Organizing the networking party for conference attendees
  • Coordinating venue selection, decoration, and catering
  • Managing entertainment and activities during the networking event

 

Content Team:

  • Create content (visuals/ video edits) to help promote the event
  • Brainstorm about creative new types of content

Expected Skills, Qualifications & Commitments

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Basic knowledge of social media platforms and digital marketing
  • Creativity and a keen eye for design
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Enthusiasm and a proactive attitude
  • Work at our office for a minimum of 2 days (may vary) per week and work from home on remaining days. In October and November the mandatory office days could become 3 or 4 days since the workload increases in these months.
  • Must possess a personal laptop
